Narrative:
While on the stadium visual approach to 31R at dfw, we were passing through 3000 AGL when the TCASII called 'traffic' followed immediately by 'climb, climb.' the first officer followed the commands and we leveled at 3900. As we started the climb, we called ATC, and they responded with traffic information. Soon thereafter I saw a turboprop passing under our nose. We continued the approach and landed uneventfully.
