Narrative:
Descending from altitude to 2500 ft (getting vectors for ILS 2 cha) GPWS gave us a hard warning. We performed the required climb to about 3500 ft and advised ATC. We did not appear to cause ATC any problem, resumed descent for a normal approach. The GPWS appeared to be in error because it continued to give a hard warning during the recovery over flat terrain.
