Narrative:
A part 91 flight was scheduled and flown from addison, tx, to savannah, GA, in an mdt. The purpose of the flight was to deliver the aircraft to the factory for a pre-buy inspection. A part 91 maintenance release was obtained from the far 135 certificate holder. This release indicated that the aircraft had no open or outstanding maintenance items. A review of the aircraft logbook concurred. A very thorough preflight was conducted and no discrepancies were found. The flight was made and there were no failures or discrepancies as a result of the flight. Subsequent to the flight, however, it had been reported that there were numerous maintenance problems. All efforts by the flight crew to assure the maintenance status of the aircraft was in compliance with all FARS were done and the flight crew was totally unaware of any problems prior to and during the flight or in the post-flight.
