Narrative:

Climbing through 18000 ft, flight attendant advised that oxygen mask had deployed on left side of aircraft only. Advised ATC we would return to pit. Aircraft cabin was normal, no oxygen mask deployment light was on. Dispatcher advised to continue to destination, avp. We then advised ATC we would continue to avp. Normal landing was made. No oxygen canisters had been activated.

Title: THE OXYGEN MASKS INVOLUNTARILY DROPPED FOR PAX USE ON 1 SIDE OF THE CABIN IN AN MLG ACR ACFT.

Narrative: CLBING THROUGH 18000 FT, FLT ATTENDANT ADVISED THAT OXYGEN MASK HAD DEPLOYED ON L SIDE OF ACFT ONLY. ADVISED ATC WE WOULD RETURN TO PIT. ACFT CABIN WAS NORMAL, NO OXYGEN MASK DEPLOYMENT LIGHT WAS ON. DISPATCHER ADVISED TO CONTINUE TO DEST, AVP. WE THEN ADVISED ATC WE WOULD CONTINUE TO AVP. NORMAL LNDG WAS MADE. NO OXYGEN CANISTERS HAD BEEN ACTIVATED.
