Narrative:

I was accused of flying below altitude minimums. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter states he is unaware of who might have reported his low flight. He disagrees with the accusation and says he was never lower than 800 ft AGL. The area he was flying over was behind the school which is on the outskirts of town and not considered populated, at least by him. He has received a letter from the FAA and with help of counsel has replied.

Title: SMA PLT ACCUSED OF LOW FLT NEAR SCHOOL.

Narrative: I WAS ACCUSED OF FLYING BELOW ALT MINIMUMS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH REPORTER REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR STATES HE IS UNAWARE OF WHO MIGHT HAVE RPTED HIS LOW FLT. HE DISAGREES WITH THE ACCUSATION AND SAYS HE WAS NEVER LOWER THAN 800 FT AGL. THE AREA HE WAS FLYING OVER WAS BEHIND THE SCHOOL WHICH IS ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN AND NOT CONSIDERED POPULATED, AT LEAST BY HIM. HE HAS RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE FAA AND WITH HELP OF COUNSEL HAS REPLIED.
