Narrative:

Takeoff aborted due to compressor stalls as airspeed approached 60 KTS. After clearing the runway and checking all instruments, it was thought that stalls may have occurred due to gusting crosswind as all engine parameters were normal. Second takeoff was initiated but not attempted as #1 engine started compressor stalling as power was advanced. After taxiing back to gate, it was discovered that the engine hub (bullet) had come unbolted and was lying at the bottom of engine nacelle.
