Narrative:

As we applied takeoff power, I noticed that our acceleration rate was abnormal (slow). I called for an abort. We cleared the runway. The parking brake was found to be partially engaged. Informed the tower that the reason for the abort was 'abnormal indications in the cockpit.' referring to the abnormal acceleration rate, we entered the abort in the aircraft log, per company procedure. No FARS were violated. We were subsequently informed by our chief pilot that the local FSDO may be investigating the incident, due to the lack of a maintenance discrepancy, when in fact, no such discrepancy existed at the time of the abort.
