Narrative:
After landing on runway 27 (wet), tried to turn off on taxiway E-1 -- speed would not permit. Tower advised to expedite traffic on final. Upon seeing the next taxiway (not on charts but closed and marked with a yellow X) turned off runway not seeing the 'X' until committed. Stopped aircraft on taxiway just before hitting a metal tower (low) on right side -- also a 4 ft ditch was between this taxiway and parallel. This was daylight and the taxiway closed sign was very hard to see. At night it would be worse. Need to show closed taxiway on airport diagram to warn pilots in advance. Also, should either remove taxiway or fill in ditch.
