Narrative:
Plane was used to fly over part of mississippi river to look over race course and allow media to photo course (boat race course). I flew plane in regulation per far 91.110. Dbq control tower informed me that dbq police called them and said we were too low. We immediately left and went back to airport and landed.

Title: POLICE COMPLAINED TO TWR THAT RPTR WAS FLYING TOO LOW.
Narrative: PLANE WAS USED TO FLY OVER PART OF MISSISSIPPI RIVER TO LOOK OVER RACE COURSE AND ALLOW MEDIA TO PHOTO COURSE (BOAT RACE COURSE). I FLEW PLANE IN REG PER FAR 91.110. DBQ CTL TWR INFORMED ME THAT DBQ POLICE CALLED THEM AND SAID WE WERE TOO LOW. WE IMMEDIATELY LEFT AND WENT BACK TO ARPT AND LANDED.
