Narrative:

On aug/xa/94 I received information from chief pilot: aircraft X on aug/xb/94 was given an airworthiness release and returned to service. Aircraft was flown from lyh-iad where I received aircraft. Unknown to me, the aircraft had 3 open write-ups on it, but the maintenance personnel in lyh tore out the pages so I had no way of knowing the aircraft was unworthy. This action jeopardized my safety as well as the safety of my passenger. I had no way of knowing this aircraft had open write-ups!
