Narrative:
20 mins after takeoff #1 advised me of last 4 boarded passenger causing some problems. Upset flight attendants cut off liquor. Appeared to have had too much. Also caused some problems during boarding by trying to occupy 2 first class seats. Complained when moved to coach. 10 mins later first officer went to back and returned saying flight attendants were still dealing with same 4 passenger. Still complaining about seats and liquor. Other coach passenger were complaining about their conduct. Before starting down #1 said that 2 of the 4 were quiet but the other 2 were still complaining. Their conduct had upset some coach passenger. Then told me that a first class passenger they originally sat behind overheard 1 make a comment about his bomb after the electronic PA. I asked if first class passenger could identify. Said 1 with a red hat and 1 with pony tail. Requested security on landing. During deplaning several coach passenger complained about their conduct. First class passenger idented 2/other 2 walked out with deplaning passenger. First class and coach passenger left without giving their names while police questioned other 2. Police released 2 with warning. Afterward while talking with flight attendants learned were boarded under the influence at last min. Gate agent appeared to know their condition but did hurry up job of on/off aircraft. They would not have been allowed on if I had known. Recommend gate agent be retrained about passenger and alcohol. I have already talked with flight attendants.
