Narrative:
After engine shutdown, completing the securing check, we left the aircraft. At another gate we were paged by maintenance. They told us #1 engine constant speed drive had overheated. Ground service put a fire extinguisher into the constant speed drive outlet and put out the fire. The constant speed drive had been disconnected in flight and placarded in dtw. We had no indications of any irregularity in the cockpit. Note: at engine start in dtw so checked and there were neither frequency nor voltage on #1 constant speed drive. Supplemental information from acn 287805: after parking aircraft at ord. Completed checklist departed aircraft 10-15 mins later informed by maintenance that #1 constant speed drive had caught fire.

Title: GENERATOR DRIVE OVERHEAT AND FIRE.
Narrative: AFTER ENG SHUTDOWN, COMPLETING THE SECURING CHK, WE LEFT THE ACFT. AT ANOTHER GATE WE WERE PAGED BY MAINT. THEY TOLD US #1 ENG CONSTANT SPD DRIVE HAD OVERHEATED. GND SVC PUT A FIRE EXTINGUISHER INTO THE CONSTANT SPD DRIVE OUTLET AND PUT OUT THE FIRE. THE CONSTANT SPD DRIVE HAD BEEN DISCONNECTED IN FLT AND PLACARDED IN DTW. WE HAD NO INDICATIONS OF ANY IRREGULARITY IN THE COCKPIT. NOTE: AT ENG START IN DTW SO CHKED AND THERE WERE NEITHER FREQ NOR VOLTAGE ON #1 CONSTANT SPD DRIVE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 287805: AFTER PARKING ACFT AT ORD. COMPLETED CHKLIST DEPARTED ACFT 10-15 MINS LATER INFORMED BY MAINT THAT #1 CONSTANT SPD DRIVE HAD CAUGHT FIRE.
