Narrative:

I was on an IFR flight plan from pie to gpt. Approach cleared me for the visual approach and to land at gpt. I was to remain on approach frequency. While approximately 25-30 mi out, my GPS started receiving signal problems, and went blank. I assumed keesler air force base was gpt and landed. I should have then paid more attention to my charts. I was feeling tired and had a passenger that needed to use the restroom. With these factors, I was trying to get on the ground quicker. In the future, I will pay more attention to my surroundings. Furthermore, at night, flying into an unfamiliar airport I will use the published instrument approachs.
