Narrative:
Prior to departure ord-fll, my first officer noticed her purse was missing and said it contained her license and medical certificates. Said purse being misplaced in stl, our prior departure station. This means that the stl-ord leg was in technical violation of far. On realization of the problem, soc was contacted and FAA sent appropriate documentation to operations ord for continuation of duty. Kudos to the people who established this program as it was extremely efficient in getting the documentation to the gate in time for an on-time departure. Thanks to one and all.
