Narrative:
The problem arose due to the captain called for the checklist. While performing the checklist, the captain also asked for other tasks to be done. Getting the charts out for the destination and reviewing them. The captain was flying this leg and it was his duty to call the tower for takeoff clearance. I was running the checklist and was not listening to his radio calls. He asked for final items which means we are cleared for takeoff. I asked 'are we cleared for takeoff' and he said yes. So we took off and the tower after takeoff gave us a telephone # to call. That is when we discovered it. I believe that if we change our procedures neither flight crew should be allowed to call for takeoff clearance until all checklists are complete. I feel the captain was calling for a rushed takeoff. Both pilots should be aware of all calls made and less of a rush in the cockpit. More training for crew members in cockpit resource management.

Title: TKOF WITHOUT TKOF CLRNC.
Narrative: THE PROBLEM AROSE DUE TO THE CAPT CALLED FOR THE CHECKLIST. WHILE PERFORMING THE CHECKLIST, THE CAPT ALSO ASKED FOR OTHER TASKS TO BE DONE. GETTING THE CHARTS OUT FOR THE DEST AND REVIEWING THEM. THE CAPT WAS FLYING THIS LEG AND IT WAS HIS DUTY TO CALL THE TWR FOR TKOF CLRNC. I WAS RUNNING THE CHECKLIST AND WAS NOT LISTENING TO HIS RADIO CALLS. HE ASKED FOR FINAL ITEMS WHICH MEANS WE ARE CLRED FOR TKOF. I ASKED 'ARE WE CLEARED FOR TKOF' AND HE SAID YES. SO WE TOOK OFF AND THE TWR AFTER TKOF GAVE US A TELEPHONE # TO CALL. THAT IS WHEN WE DISCOVERED IT. I BELIEVE THAT IF WE CHANGE OUR PROCS NEITHER FLC SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO CALL FOR TKOF CLRNC UNTIL ALL CHECKLISTS ARE COMPLETE. I FEEL THE CAPT WAS CALLING FOR A RUSHED TAKEOFF. BOTH PLTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF ALL CALLS MADE AND LESS OF A RUSH IN THE COCKPIT. MORE TRAINING FOR CREW MEMBERS IN COCKPIT RESOURCE MGMNT.
