Narrative:
Altitude assigned was 3000 ft instead of normal departure altitude of 4000 ft. I simply screwed up and caught the mistake 500 ft high. No problems or conflicts.

Title: ACFT DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED ALT. PLT STATED THAT HE HAD ANTICIPATED THE 'NORMAL' DEP ALT.
Narrative: ALT ASSIGNED WAS 3000 FT INSTEAD OF NORMAL DEP ALT OF 4000 FT. I SIMPLY SCREWED UP AND CAUGHT THE MISTAKE 500 FT HIGH. NO PROBS OR CONFLICTS.
