Narrative:
I received a computer notification of MEL item M28-22-01A for an inoperative left main boost pump 11 mins after the aircraft was off the ground. It is a dispatcher approval required item. The pilot and the maintenance coordinator failed to advise the dispatcher of this item. A local company follow-up report has been filed. Specific procedures are outlined in the MEL that the crew should have followed.

Narrative: I RECEIVED A COMPUTER NOTIFICATION OF MEL ITEM M28-22-01A FOR AN INOP L MAIN BOOST PUMP 11 MINS AFTER THE ACFT WAS OFF THE GND. IT IS A DISPATCHER APPROVAL REQUIRED ITEM. THE PLT AND THE MAINT COORDINATOR FAILED TO ADVISE THE DISPATCHER OF THIS ITEM. A LCL COMPANY FOLLOW-UP RPT HAS BEEN FILED. SPECIFIC PROCS ARE OUTLINED IN THE MEL THAT THE CREW SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED.
