Narrative:
While taxiing from taxiway to active I was cleared for takeoff and inadvertently struck a sign at edge of taxiway that was unobserved. The sun was a factor as it was low and in my face directly. The sign was damaged - my propeller was damaged.

Title: SMA TAXIING FOR TKOF HITS SIGN AT EDGE OF TXWY.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING FROM TXWY TO ACTIVE I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF AND INADVERTENTLY STRUCK A SIGN AT EDGE OF TXWY THAT WAS UNOBSERVED. THE SUN WAS A FACTOR AS IT WAS LOW AND IN MY FACE DIRECTLY. THE SIGN WAS DAMAGED - MY PROP WAS DAMAGED.
