Narrative:
During taxi out my first officer picked up the clearance from freeport, bahamas to mia. I discussed the clearance with him and it became my understanding that we had been cleared via BR64V to AR1, which I flew. Approaching AR1, ZMA asked how we had been cleared. This raised doubts in my mind so I looked at what the first officer had written and it was BR68V to AR1. In the future I plan to watch the clrncs more, as what I thought I heard wasn't what was given.
