Narrative:
Departed from north buffalo suburban airport, ny for niagara falls, ny. After contact with buffalo approach control, they advised me 'contact niagara tower.' after contacting niagara tower they gave me what I understood was the following clearance: 'north cleared straight in runway 24 3 mi final,' I proceeded inbound and landed whereupon the tower called me on rollout saying 'do you know you landed without clearance?' I replied stating apologies but confused as to what happened. I usually repeat a clearance back and to my recollection, did so. If I misunderstood a clearance the controller did not correct me on readback. There was no further mention about the incident other than mentioned above.

Title: RPTR LANDED AT TWR CTLED ARPT WITHOUT A LNDG CLRNC.
Narrative: DEPARTED FROM N BUFFALO SUBURBAN ARPT, NY FOR NIAGARA FALLS, NY. AFTER CONTACT WITH BUFFALO APCH CTL, THEY ADVISED ME 'CONTACT NIAGARA TWR.' AFTER CONTACTING NIAGARA TWR THEY GAVE ME WHAT I UNDERSTOOD WAS THE FOLLOWING CLRNC: 'N CLRED STRAIGHT IN RWY 24 3 MI FINAL,' I PROCEEDED INBOUND AND LANDED WHEREUPON THE TWR CALLED ME ON ROLLOUT SAYING 'DO YOU KNOW YOU LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC?' I REPLIED STATING APOLOGIES BUT CONFUSED AS TO WHAT HAPPENED. I USUALLY REPEAT A CLRNC BACK AND TO MY RECOLLECTION, DID SO. IF I MISUNDERSTOOD A CLRNC THE CTLR DID NOT CORRECT ME ON READBACK. THERE WAS NO FURTHER MENTION ABOUT THE INCIDENT OTHER THAN MENTIONED ABOVE.
