Narrative:
We were being vectored to land runway 8L at ATC. ATC kept asking us to 'go fast' throughout descent (330 KTS plus). During downwind at 250 KTS, gave us a 'slam dunk' to base, then to final. Got a severe TCASII RA with aircraft approaching his final turn to the southern pair of parallel runways.
