Narrative:

Flight X was cleared for visual approach to runway 9R at mia. Traffic was called to follow. Approach control apparently forgot to hand flight off to tower. Crew was distracted looking for traffic and configuring aircraft and did not notice controller forgot the handoff. Flight landed without incident, realized mistake, and then contacted mia tower.

Narrative: FLT X WAS CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH TO RWY 9R AT MIA. TFC WAS CALLED TO FOLLOW. APCH CTL APPARENTLY FORGOT TO HAND FLT OFF TO TWR. CREW WAS DISTRACTED LOOKING FOR TFC AND CONFIGURING ACFT AND DID NOT NOTICE CTLR FORGOT THE HDOF. FLT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT, REALIZED MISTAKE, AND THEN CONTACTED MIA TWR.
