Narrative:
Just departed dca runway 36 bound for jfk. At approximately 300 ft received a right engine tailpipe hot light. Executed memory items and followed up with appropriate checklists. Vectors were then received for ILS approach to runway 36. Stabilized approach criteria unable to be maintained and missed approach was declared. A second approach was initiated and landing was made without any further incident. Also, an emergency was declared after the engine was shut down.

Title: INFLT ENG SHUTDOWN - FLC SHUTS DOWN R-HAND ENG AFTER TKOF WHEN OVERHEAT WARNING OCCURS.
Narrative: JUST DEPARTED DCA RWY 36 BOUND FOR JFK. AT APPROX 300 FT RECEIVED A R ENG TAILPIPE HOT LIGHT. EXECUTED MEMORY ITEMS AND FOLLOWED UP WITH APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS. VECTORS WERE THEN RECEIVED FOR ILS APCH TO RWY 36. STABILIZED APCH CRITERIA UNABLE TO BE MAINTAINED AND MISSED APCH WAS DECLARED. A SECOND APCH WAS INITIATED AND LNDG WAS MADE WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. ALSO, AN EMER WAS DECLARED AFTER THE ENG WAS SHUT DOWN.
