Narrative:
B-757 aircraft en route to gua had an engine flameout. Flight crew shutdown engine, then restarted successfully with no further problems during the approach and landing. Because the air carrier did not have mechanics in gua, they contacted the local FBO for a mechanic to check the engine parameters, etc. The engine appeared normal in all respects and the probable cause was determined to be fuel starvation as a result of faulty fuel transfer when center tanks were empty. The company maintenance department had some problems in obtaining all the pertinent information for the computer data base because of communicating with a foreign FBO and language terminology. Also, a note in the trouble-shooting guide was missed due to the location which was easily missed, but since has been moved to be a more evident location.

Title: ENG FAILURE SUCCESSFUL RESTART. MAINT FOLLOW UP.
Narrative: B-757 ACFT ENRTE TO GUA HAD AN ENG FLAMEOUT. FLC SHUTDOWN ENG, THEN RESTARTED SUCCESSFULLY WITH NO FURTHER PROBS DURING THE APCH AND LNDG. BECAUSE THE ACR DID NOT HAVE MECHS IN GUA, THEY CONTACTED THE LCL FBO FOR A MECH TO CHK THE ENG PARAMETERS, ETC. THE ENG APPEARED NORMAL IN ALL RESPECTS AND THE PROBABLE CAUSE WAS DETERMINED TO BE FUEL STARVATION AS A RESULT OF FAULTY FUEL TRANSFER WHEN CTR TANKS WERE EMPTY. THE COMPANY MAINT DEPT HAD SOME PROBS IN OBTAINING ALL THE PERTINENT INFO FOR THE COMPUTER DATA BASE BECAUSE OF COMMUNICATING WITH A FOREIGN FBO AND LANGUAGE TERMINOLOGY. ALSO, A NOTE IN THE TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE WAS MISSED DUE TO THE LOCATION WHICH WAS EASILY MISSED, BUT SINCE HAS BEEN MOVED TO BE A MORE EVIDENT LOCATION.
