Experienced severe turbulence over pxv at FL290. Altitude gain of 300 ft and then loss of 800 ft. Airspeed loss of 20 KTS. Reported to ATC and dispatch. No injuries. Wind shear illuminated on pfd with bat wings and did not leave until after touchdown.
