Narrative:
Honet 5 departure was given out of clt. Departure said to maintain 250 KTS until ATC advised otherwise. Before ATC advised a different airspeed, at 10000 ft, aircraft was accelerated to 320 KTS. (It's normal speed in a climb) up to 12000 ft. After level at 12000 ft and 320 KTS for about 2 min. ATC then said, 'resume normal speed' which the aircraft was already doing. The 250 KTS was not kept till ATC advised otherwise.
