Narrative:
On switching to tower from eug approach, controller (local) requested a call at the OM. Just prior to the OM, company called on communication #2. I replied and there was a short discussion on the difficulty I had in contacting them earlier. When I was done on communication #2 the captain called for landing checklist and we were approaching short final. We then landed, having never made the OM call. The airport was very quiet. I queried tower if we should switch to ground. He replied 'yup.' on ground, he said 'you're also cleared to land.' this is when we realized we had not been cleared appropriately. We apologized and the controller responded that he had us in sight from a ways out and that no conflict was ever possible as no other aircraft were operating at that time. I should never let a call on company distract me at such a busy period of the flight.

Title: LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: ON SWITCHING TO TWR FROM EUG APCH, CTLR (LCL) REQUESTED A CALL AT THE OM. JUST PRIOR TO THE OM, COMPANY CALLED ON COM #2. I REPLIED AND THERE WAS A SHORT DISCUSSION ON THE DIFFICULTY I HAD IN CONTACTING THEM EARLIER. WHEN I WAS DONE ON COM #2 THE CAPT CALLED FOR LNDG CHKLIST AND WE WERE APCHING SHORT FINAL. WE THEN LANDED, HAVING NEVER MADE THE OM CALL. THE ARPT WAS VERY QUIET. I QUERIED TWR IF WE SHOULD SWITCH TO GND. HE REPLIED 'YUP.' ON GND, HE SAID 'YOU'RE ALSO CLRED TO LAND.' THIS IS WHEN WE REALIZED WE HAD NOT BEEN CLRED APPROPRIATELY. WE APOLOGIZED AND THE CTLR RESPONDED THAT HE HAD US IN SIGHT FROM A WAYS OUT AND THAT NO CONFLICT WAS EVER POSSIBLE AS NO OTHER ACFT WERE OPERATING AT THAT TIME. I SHOULD NEVER LET A CALL ON COMPANY DISTRACT ME AT SUCH A BUSY PERIOD OF THE FLT.
