Narrative:
ATIS stated active was runway 23. I was cleared to taxi to runway 23. I taxied to runway 5 and reported ready at runway 23. The controller (tower) cleared me to takeoff on runway 23 at which time I proceeded to taxi toward the entrance of runway 5 for takeoff. The tower told me to hold short. I did. They asked me what runway I was taking off on. I then realized my mistake and received permission to takeoff on runway 5. No further incident.

Title: TAXI TO WRONG RWY.
Narrative: ATIS STATED ACTIVE WAS RWY 23. I WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 23. I TAXIED TO RWY 5 AND RPTED READY AT RWY 23. THE CTLR (TWR) CLRED ME TO TKOF ON RWY 23 AT WHICH TIME I PROCEEDED TO TAXI TOWARD THE ENTRANCE OF RWY 5 FOR TKOF. THE TWR TOLD ME TO HOLD SHORT. I DID. THEY ASKED ME WHAT RWY I WAS TAKING OFF ON. I THEN REALIZED MY MISTAKE AND RECEIVED PERMISSION TO TKOF ON RWY 5. NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
