Narrative:
While flying a dual cross country with a student I inadvertently penetrated class B airspace. We were level at 2500 ft and entered a segment with a floor of 1500 ft by 1/4 - 1/2 NM. While in flight, I thought we should stay clear. Later on the ground, I realized we did not remain clear. In the future I will be more vigilant and I will try to help my students be more careful as well.
