Narrative:
While setting up the cockpit at the gate for departure it was obvious that the filed SID would not be used due to a change in runways. First officer called delivery and asked which SID was planned for us. Delivery said plan on the compton 3J which we set up and briefed. When we called for start and ATC clearance, the clearance was somewhat garbled. First officer clearly read back compton 2J which was accepted by ATC. After takeoff and starting our turn to the right per the SID, tower told us to turn left and told us we were supposed to be on the buzad 2J SID. Supplemental information from acn 304360: 1 hour prior to push, we asked for a heads up on which SID to expect. Controller advised a compton SID. I read back compton 2J but there is no compton 2J. He didn't catch it. After takeoff, we turned right as for a compton 3J, only to be told to turn left. Our clearance was a squawk and 2J. Controller did not check my readback, I had read a compton. Should have been a buzak 2J.
