Narrative:
We landed at lax on runway 24R, cleared at the end. We were cleared across runway 24L, then changed to ground 121.65. Ground said to taxi on parallel to taxiway 75, turn right and contact ground on 121.65 crossing the 'bridge.' we switched to ground at the bridge but were unable to make contact due to heavy radio traffic, we turned left on taxiway J and finally got through to ground. She said 'you're on taxiway J without my permission' in the form of a question. I guess we should have stopped on taxiway 75 until we established contact.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN ACR WDB CONTINUED ITS TAXI WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: WE LANDED AT LAX ON RWY 24R, CLRED AT THE END. WE WERE CLRED ACROSS RWY 24L, THEN CHANGED TO GND 121.65. GND SAID TO TAXI ON PARALLEL TO TXWY 75, TURN R AND CONTACT GND ON 121.65 XING THE 'BRIDGE.' WE SWITCHED TO GND AT THE BRIDGE BUT WERE UNABLE TO MAKE CONTACT DUE TO HVY RADIO TFC, WE TURNED L ON TXWY J AND FINALLY GOT THROUGH TO GND. SHE SAID 'YOU'RE ON TXWY J WITHOUT MY PERMISSION' IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION. I GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED ON TXWY 75 UNTIL WE ESTABLISHED CONTACT.
