Narrative:

I (captain) was PNF and first officer was in the toilet. Received a clearance to be at FL330 (from FL310) about 60 mi down the airway. I advised the first officer upon his return to the flight deck and continued on with PA's and reviewing data for (san- where I hadn't flown in many yrs, as this was our next stop after the anc-sea leg. Center asked us to climb about 13 mi after the original fix and we did so at that time. I don't believe we were in any near danger of conflict. I also am not sure how to flag a future restr (climb) that does not need to be accomplished immediately and ATC should probably ask and remind the aircraft as they close in on the fix if it doesn't appear that the crew will comply.
