Narrative:
Given a heading to intercept fqf 040 degree radial inbound (220 degrees) between the ATIS, company calls, radio calls, descent planning and turbulence, missed the intercept. Also, was a little late calling the tower after being held up, got busy slowing down and getting down, again very turbulent and gusty. Supplemental information from acn 306500: after being vectored and looking for traffic, flight called tower at dia a little late.
