Narrative:

We were on J60 to psb when controller said fly heading 230 degrees to intercept J80. We told him we were cleared J60 and not J80. We filed J60 and not J80. He thought we were cleared J80. Supplemental information from acn 306726: controller notified crew to turn to 230 degree heading for vector to J80 that we were 5 mi off course heading further off. We complied with ATC direction then informed controller we had been cleared 'as filed' eliot J60 psb direct and controller then gave us expect vectors to this VOR.
