Narrative:
After uneventful flight in daylight with good WX, aircraft was taxiing up to jetway for deplaning. Marshaller and 1 wingwalker (left side) and 2 fueler personnel (left side) were on duty during this phase. Fuel truck on left side of aircraft. Aircraft's left wingtip contacted top of fuel truck just as or just before aircraft was signaled to stop by marshaller at designated stop point. No signals to stop prior to this were given. Taxi speed was slow. There was no indication of the aircraft/truck contact. Knowledge of the contact came from a passenger who saw the contact and notified me while he was deplaning. Damage was minor and the aircraft was certified flyable by contract maintenance and liaison with company maintenance supervisor over the phone. Fuel truck was incorrectly positioned within the area supposed to be kept clear. Ground personnel were 'contract' and not company employees. Fuel transfer to opposite wing allowed left wing to rise above truck.
