Narrative:
Departure runway 9 at bos, temperature 72 degrees F, gross takeoff weight 117000 pounds. We mistakenly took the active runway at intersection west rather than at the end. This resulted in 500 ft less runway available than full length. At that gross weight, the 6500 ft remaining was more than adequate for the departure but, after takeoff, we realized we did not have performance charts reflecting intersection west data. I made the mistake of assuming we would have data for all intxns that would allow a safe operation.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF AN ACR MLG ACFT TKOF AT A RWY INTXN WITH NO APPROVED REQUIRED TKOF LENGTH DATA.
Narrative: DEP RWY 9 AT BOS, TEMP 72 DEGS F, GROSS TKOF WT 117000 LBS. WE MISTAKENLY TOOK THE ACTIVE RWY AT INTXN W RATHER THAN AT THE END. THIS RESULTED IN 500 FT LESS RWY AVAILABLE THAN FULL LENGTH. AT THAT GROSS WT, THE 6500 FT REMAINING WAS MORE THAN ADEQUATE FOR THE DEP BUT, AFTER TKOF, WE REALIZED WE DID NOT HAVE PERFORMANCE CHARTS REFLECTING INTXN W DATA. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF ASSUMING WE WOULD HAVE DATA FOR ALL INTXNS THAT WOULD ALLOW A SAFE OP.
