Narrative:

Student pilot of mine, flew normal pattern but final was low (red lights in view, added power until white lights). Reduced power. Looked like we would hit hard so added power. Flare, tipped up after hit. Kept speed above 60 KTS on final approach. Wingtip bent, nosewheel blown, bent strut, etc. Firewall not bent. Aircraft registration was pink -- FAA did not issue a permanent registration. Aircraft used for several check rides during this period. FAA says they will issue a warning letter, but still has not sent permanent registration.
