Narrative:
Jax cleared our flight to FL260 which we heard and read back. At FL230 we received a TCASII alert then RA to descend. Controller asked us if we were at FL230. We were at FL235 and returned to FL230. There was confusion as to which altitude we were cleared to.

Narrative: JAX CLRED OUR FLT TO FL260 WHICH WE HEARD AND READ BACK. AT FL230 WE RECEIVED A TCASII ALERT THEN RA TO DSND. CTLR ASKED US IF WE WERE AT FL230. WE WERE AT FL235 AND RETURNED TO FL230. THERE WAS CONFUSION AS TO WHICH ALT WE WERE CLRED TO.
