Narrative:
About 1 hour into flight at FL350, flight attendants reported several seats out in coach. Followed procedures in operation manual to check for oxygen presentation and eventually reseated several passenger. On arrival hnl, maintenance showed us how to drop the panel in the forward buffet and check oxygen continuity switch on test panel. This simple procedure should be in the operation manual. It would save having to descend to FL300 if at a higher altitude, saving fuel or an otherwise unnecessary return for maintenance.

Narrative: ABOUT 1 HR INTO FLT AT FL350, FLT ATTENDANTS RPTED SEVERAL SEATS OUT IN COACH. FOLLOWED PROCS IN OP MANUAL TO CHK FOR OXYGEN PRESENTATION AND EVENTUALLY RESEATED SEVERAL PAX. ON ARRIVAL HNL, MAINT SHOWED US HOW TO DROP THE PANEL IN THE FORWARD BUFFET AND CHK OXYGEN CONTINUITY SWITCH ON TEST PANEL. THIS SIMPLE PROC SHOULD BE IN THE OP MANUAL.
