Narrative:
Pulled onto runway as another airplane was landing. Other plane did not call his traffic on unicom. I listened carefully prior to takeoff. Heard other aircraft in pattern, but not this one. I also scanned traffic pattern prior to takeoff but didn't see other aircraft. I believe the other aircraft was not using standard pattern technique or radio procedures. I probably could have done a better job looking for traffic all around airport (instead of just in standard pattern). The other plane 'came out of nowhere.' I didn't see him until I had lined up on runway. He landed long to avoid me. There was an aircraft with defective radios in the pattern (carrier with no audio). It is possible that it was this aircraft.

Title: THE PLT OF AN SMA ACFT TAXIED ONTO THE RWY IN THE APCH PATH OF LNDG TFC. ACFT ON APCH LANDED LONG TO AVOID RPTR'S ACFT.
Narrative: PULLED ONTO RWY AS ANOTHER AIRPLANE WAS LNDG. OTHER PLANE DID NOT CALL HIS TFC ON UNICOM. I LISTENED CAREFULLY PRIOR TO TKOF. HEARD OTHER ACFT IN PATTERN, BUT NOT THIS ONE. I ALSO SCANNED TFC PATTERN PRIOR TO TKOF BUT DIDN'T SEE OTHER ACFT. I BELIEVE THE OTHER ACFT WAS NOT USING STANDARD PATTERN TECHNIQUE OR RADIO PROCS. I PROBABLY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB LOOKING FOR TFC ALL AROUND ARPT (INSTEAD OF JUST IN STANDARD PATTERN). THE OTHER PLANE 'CAME OUT OF NOWHERE.' I DIDN'T SEE HIM UNTIL I HAD LINED UP ON RWY. HE LANDED LONG TO AVOID ME. THERE WAS AN ACFT WITH DEFECTIVE RADIOS IN THE PATTERN (CARRIER WITH NO AUDIO). IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IT WAS THIS ACFT.
