Narrative:
On our preflight briefing, there was no mention of a runway closure at kahului airport runway 2. There was no NOTAM of runway 2 being closed until XB00. Ramp control on ogg called at XB15 stating that a state worker called asking if we knew the runway was closed. We landed at XA56. On our return to hnl, our dispatcher apologized and said she forgot to tell us of the closure and that the NOTAM was omitted on our copy because they (dispatch) were going to verbally tell us. Our brief that morning was good, celebration for holiday all wkend had airport closures throughout the day, the dispatcher got distracted with this briefing. There were no traffic conflicts, we made all appropriate calls to the airport on 118.7, the tower frequency on our approach. The state worker did advise ogg ramp that an incident report would be filed. Supplemental information from acn 315062: ATIS kahului informed tower closure till xb local, nothing about runway. Runway 2 centerline freshly painted. Tower advisories made inbound stating intended use of runway 2. No state worker response.

Title: AN ACR MLG LANDED ON A CLOSED RWY.
Narrative: ON OUR PREFLT BRIEFING, THERE WAS NO MENTION OF A RWY CLOSURE AT KAHULUI ARPT RWY 2. THERE WAS NO NOTAM OF RWY 2 BEING CLOSED UNTIL XB00. RAMP CTL ON OGG CALLED AT XB15 STATING THAT A STATE WORKER CALLED ASKING IF WE KNEW THE RWY WAS CLOSED. WE LANDED AT XA56. ON OUR RETURN TO HNL, OUR DISPATCHER APOLOGIZED AND SAID SHE FORGOT TO TELL US OF THE CLOSURE AND THAT THE NOTAM WAS OMITTED ON OUR COPY BECAUSE THEY (DISPATCH) WERE GOING TO VERBALLY TELL US.
