Narrative:
While flying on bunker 7 arrival to msp, aircraft lost both DME signals at approximately 45 DME from msp. We were in a descent with a clearance to cross cedar intersection (msp 255 degree/31 DME) at 10000 ft to maintain 9000 ft. We reacquired the DME signal at approximately 35 DME and informed controller we might be high at cedar. Controller responded that we were past cedar however our DME showed 32 DME. We were then handed off to next controller without further comment.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING ON BUNKER 7 ARR TO MSP, ACFT LOST BOTH DME SIGNALS AT APPROX 45 DME FROM MSP. WE WERE IN A DSCNT WITH A CLRNC TO CROSS CEDAR INTXN (MSP 255 DEG/31 DME) AT 10000 FT TO MAINTAIN 9000 FT. WE REACQUIRED THE DME SIGNAL AT APPROX 35 DME AND INFORMED CTLR WE MIGHT BE HIGH AT CEDAR. CTLR RESPONDED THAT WE WERE PAST CEDAR HOWEVER OUR DME SHOWED 32 DME. WE WERE THEN HANDED OFF TO NEXT CTLR WITHOUT FURTHER COMMENT.
