Narrative:

I unknowingly allowed a friend to use (rent) my airplane past a 100 hour inspection. It appears now that the airplane was about 8-9 hours out of a 100 hour inspection with 2 airworthiness directives (visual inspections) overflown. This was discovered by the local FSDO upon inspection of the logbooks when the aircraft was involved in an incident (aircraft nosed over in soft dirt at the lumberton airport). This was an oversight on my part as I could and would have done the inspection myself (I'm an a & P). This was totally unintentional and was simply miscalculated by me.
