Narrative:
At FL310 approximately 60 wsw MVA VOR, observed left engine oil temperature in caution range near redline. Turned back bound and performed QRH procedures. Engine shut down over sierras after 15 mins in caution range, emergency declared, and single engine landing made at fresno air terminal.
