Narrative:
On descent into lga, cleared to cross somto intersection at 11000 ft. I crossed at 13000 ft as specified on chart then continued down to 11000 ft as cleared. Reached 11000 ft at 3.5 mi northeast of somto intersection. There was no conflict and controller said nothing to us about altitude. Suggest controllers stress crossing altitudes if different than published on chart.

Narrative: ON DSCNT INTO LGA, CLRED TO CROSS SOMTO INTXN AT 11000 FT. I CROSSED AT 13000 FT AS SPECIFIED ON CHART THEN CONTINUED DOWN TO 11000 FT AS CLRED. REACHED 11000 FT AT 3.5 MI NE OF SOMTO INTXN. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT AND CTLR SAID NOTHING TO US ABOUT ALT. SUGGEST CTLRS STRESS XING ALTS IF DIFFERENT THAN PUBLISHED ON CHART.
