Narrative:
Told to cross bumby at 10000 ft when we were only 50 DME from the fix. Using normal descent profile we should have left FL350 80 DME out. This didn't give us enough room to get down. I told center that we would most likely meet the crossing restr but it would be close. As we got closer center asked again if we would make it as it was apparent that we wouldn't. So he said to cross 35 DME at XXX instead. We were able to make that restr. Adding to this situation was the fact that at first we had filed for the batsn 3 arrival then they changed us to the daisetta arrival and then later changed us back to the batsn 3 arrival, and then gave us the late descent instructions. As it was, in the descent with idle power and speed brakes fully extended, we caught the cabin pressure in the descent and this made for an uncomfortable ride for the passenger. Center has to give you enough time to get down comfortably!

Title: MLG RECEIVES LATE DSCNT CLRNC, UNABLE TO MAKE XING RESTR.
Narrative: TOLD TO CROSS BUMBY AT 10000 FT WHEN WE WERE ONLY 50 DME FROM THE FIX. USING NORMAL DSCNT PROFILE WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT FL350 80 DME OUT. THIS DIDN'T GIVE US ENOUGH ROOM TO GET DOWN. I TOLD CTR THAT WE WOULD MOST LIKELY MEET THE XING RESTR BUT IT WOULD BE CLOSE. AS WE GOT CLOSER CTR ASKED AGAIN IF WE WOULD MAKE IT AS IT WAS APPARENT THAT WE WOULDN'T. SO HE SAID TO CROSS 35 DME AT XXX INSTEAD. WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE THAT RESTR. ADDING TO THIS SIT WAS THE FACT THAT AT FIRST WE HAD FILED FOR THE BATSN 3 ARR THEN THEY CHANGED US TO THE DAISETTA ARR AND THEN LATER CHANGED US BACK TO THE BATSN 3 ARR, AND THEN GAVE US THE LATE DSCNT INSTRUCTIONS. AS IT WAS, IN THE DSCNT WITH IDLE PWR AND SPD BRAKES FULLY EXTENDED, WE CAUGHT THE CABIN PRESSURE IN THE DSCNT AND THIS MADE FOR AN UNCOMFORTABLE RIDE FOR THE PAX. CTR HAS TO GIVE YOU ENOUGH TIME TO GET DOWN COMFORTABLY!
