Narrative:
We were cleared at 1000 ft MSL for transition along freeway. Tower was asking us to identify our position when we took evasive action (climbing right turn) to miss the P3. Tower seemed to be unaware of our location although he cleared us on a very specific route, highway 101 at 1000 ft.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED AT 1000 FT MSL FOR TRANSITION ALONG FREEWAY. TWR WAS ASKING US TO IDENT OUR POS WHEN WE TOOK EVASIVE ACTION (CLBING R TURN) TO MISS THE P3. TWR SEEMED TO BE UNAWARE OF OUR LOCATION ALTHOUGH HE CLRED US ON A VERY SPECIFIC RTE, HWY 101 AT 1000 FT.
