Narrative:

There was a bad accident involving a school bus and a train. As a result of this, a restr area had been established over the site. I sent my instructor (a cfii) to get WX. She told me of the site which was 9 mi on the 315 degree radial from O'hare. As we departed 3CK I called approach for flight following to pwk. After being given the squawk, the controller said I was just exiting the center of the restr area. I told him I saw myself 10 mi from it. Back on the ground I found that the area was 19 mi from ord on the 315 degree radial, not 9 mi. When you want it done right, do it yourself!

Narrative: THERE WAS A BAD ACCIDENT INVOLVING A SCHOOL BUS AND A TRAIN. AS A RESULT OF THIS, A RESTR AREA HAD BEEN ESTABLISHED OVER THE SITE. I SENT MY INSTRUCTOR (A CFII) TO GET WX.
