Narrative:
After a request to hold due to below minimums, I was told to hold on 180 degree radial left turns after flying outbound on the 180 degree radial. I had not done a hold since practice for the instrument ticket. I had never done left turns in a hold. Ticket acquired more than 4 yrs ago. I am not certain I executed the turn properly. Cause: lack of proper training, lack of 'currency' on holds despite frequent retraining, BFR and actual IFR flts. This is the first hold I ever did in actual. I went up with an instructor the next day.
