Narrative:

About 25 mins from dfw a flight attendant advised a passenger was receiving oxygen. Passenger condition deteriorated and medical doctor aboard advised us to expedite landing. We declared a medical emergency and were given clearance to dfw. I started descent prior to receiving clearance. Deviation was about 500 ft. Landing was normal. Passenger was met by paramedic at gate.
